Rose McGowan accuses Harvey Weinstein of rape

The liaison deluging Hollywood writer Harvey Weinstein has deepened after US singer Rose McGowan publicly accused him of raping her.

In a series of tweets, McGowan also accused Amazon Studio arch Roy Price of having abandoned her when she done the claim earlier.

Amazon has put Price – himself accused on Thursday of sexually badgering a womanlike writer – on leave of absence.

Weinstein denies any passionate assaults. There was no criticism from Price.

Police forces in the US and UK police have launched investigations into passionate attack allegations against Weinstein:

Addressing Amazon arch executive Jeff Bezos on Twitter, McGowan criticised the company for doing business with Weinstein.

“I told the conduct of your studio that HW raped me,” she wrote. “Over over we pronounced it. He pronounced it hadn’t been proven. we pronounced we was the proof.”

Price was alone accused by Isa Hackett, a writer on one of Amazon’s shows, of having lewdly propositioned her in a cab and at a corporate cooking in 2015, the Hollywood Reporter writes.

Hackett reported the occurrence to Amazon executives immediately, she was quoted as saying, and an outward questioner was brought in.

She was not told the outcome of the review but did not see Price again at any events involving her shows, she added.

In a statement, Amazon said: “Roy Price is on leave of deficiency effective immediately. We are reviewing the options for the projects we have with The Weinstein Co.”

Stream of accusations

Three women progressing accused Weinstein of rape in an inquisitive essay in The New Yorker magazine.

They are Italian singer and executive Asia Argento, former determined singer Lucia Evans and a third lady who was anonymous.

The same essay says 10 other women told the author that Weinstein had possibly sexually tormented or assaulted them between the 1990s and 2015.
